Brazil Daterra Yellow Bourbon

The Yellow Bourbon variety was developed by the natural process of mutation, which occurs when a plant modifies its DNA to better thrive in a new environment. This variety is a mutation of the Red Bourbon originating from the Isle of Bourbon. When planted in Brazil, the climate and soil conditions resulted in the development of yellow cherries. Bourbon Yellow has strong citrus and floral characteristics on the break with soft citrus fruitiness and acidity, with an overlay of honey-caramel sweetness and texture, resulting in a creamy aftertaste.
