8,0632,26

Bule Hora is one of the districts of Guji, located in West Guji. Bule Hora Town is located at 1770 meters above sea level and since 2000 a large investment in coffee has started. The coffee reaches 2200 meters. Before that it was mostly titanium mining. The coffee is washed and fermented for about 36 hours and then dried on raised African beds. Farming methods in Guji remain largely traditional. Guji farmers usually mix their coffee plants with other food crops. This method is common among smallholders because it maximizes land use and provides food for their families. Almost every farm is organic by default, while most operations are done by hand and very few operations are mechanized, even during processing.
